Comfortable Shoes?????

In this amazing world of inventions, you would think that the market would get it that women want to look good in their shoes and still be comfortable! I went shoe shopping last night and one of the sales ladies asked me what I was looking for. I told her that I wanted something comfortable but cute!!

She gave me the look!

Here's what I want to wear................

Here is what I think I SHOULD wear!!!

A real life story, written by my oldest son.
"I don't remember who I have shared this to, but here is a revised edition on a story I wrote about a real life example god gave to me one day. It has been really helpful to me when I feel like I am buzzing in the "wind" trying to get my "own" way.
I was waiting in the car while my wife was getting something in the house. I noticed this fly buzz in our car, While I had the door wide open. He instantly buzzed through my car and went to the opposite window where I was. He started banging over and over and over again trying to get out...did I say over and over? Well he was really really bouncing on that window trying to get out. He saw a way out that he thought was the best way in his mind. He was very persistent. finally he flew to solid ground on my dashboard. He paused and took a long breath for a while. Then I saw him clean him self up, renewing himself. While this was going on, I felt like a father or thought of a heavenly father that was right next to the path that he needed to go. It was so obvious to me because I saw the big picture. I kept quiet and just let him do his thing because I knew he needed to find it on his own without me pushing him so he could learn a "lesson". I actually laughed to my self and thought...you big dummy look around, your way out is bigger than the small little window "or problem" you are banging on. Just stop and look. Finally after the fly cleaned himself up he chose this really narrow path on the dashboard to walk across in my car. When he reached the other side, he seemed to have instantly realized his mistake and flew off into his freedom.
Do you ever feel like this....alone, choosing your path, not knowing that the path that you are on, is the wrong one. Constantly trying to get your way, banging and pushing, trying to force things that are literally imposable to do on your own. Sometimes I think you just need to take a break and look at the big picture. Relax and "clean yourself up" by looking to God. Ask him for clear direction and for him to clean up your mind, body and soul. Sometimes the right path in our life is right behind us and we are to blind just to stop and look around...or stubborn to ask God. Look what is going on behind you." Jeremy Reed, Illinois

It's MONDAY! The start of a new week. Hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of September! Yesterday we went for a drive and ended up at Port Gamble, what a beautiful place. A very small town on the waterfront. It used to have a saw mill there which is no longer, but they had a festival going on with wood carvers contest that was so awesome to watch. We took it all in. They had vendors all over the place. Would you believe that we didn't buy anything!!! It was a nice change of pace after Saturday spent doing a lot of house work!

Last night LarBear and I went to my new work place and put up a ton of fall decorations. He was so willing to help me do this and I was so thankful for his help. There are leaves everywhere. My boss asked me to decorate and even gave me money to buy decorations!! That was right up my alley! It looks pretty cool. I came in this morning and the first person I saw said he loved it. Said fall threw up all over the office! Ew!

Well, have a great week all!

Here it is, FRIDAY!!

It is really funny as I am getting used to my new surroundings that I am noticing many differences!

The sound of dress shoes! Since it is mostly men in my work area it is pretty funny how I hear a female come in....the sound of heels! There are more women in and out of here that are more dressed up that where I came from! I am thinking that today being Friday, that maybe some will be a bit more casual. I tried to wear jeans today but I am not that comfortable yet, so I am still dressed up a bit. I must be careful with this habit or I will never get to wear jeans! It does make me feel good to be more dressy.

I also love the fact that I can wash my lunch dishes out in a real sink instead of in a "bathroom size" sink that doesn't drain very well. I love that!

Last night the girls got together at OLIVE GARDEN. It was a great time together! Lots of good food, good friends and good laughs. I loved that Nicole had her kids there! Seeing ones that have been gone for a while was great too. Oh, I guess I am one of those!! Next time we get together I have decided that I am going to order desert first! Always too full to enjoy those luscious deserts. They say life is short, eat dessert first! I think they have a great point.

This sounds like Thankful Thursday! Well, everyday is a good day to be thankful!

It's Thursday and I am very Thankful today!
1. I am so thankful for my new job and the people I have been blessed with as coworkers. There are 61 in my group! They have welcomed me with so much kindness that it almost seems illegal! They introduced me to everyone by having me write a bio! That was kinda cool. Then all the secretaries yesterday had a welcome hour with lots of goodies to eat and all of them introduced themselves to me! It was weird that I was still getting paid to go to this "party" on work time. It wasn't even lunch time! I have ran into a lot of people that I knew when I worked in my building 12 years ago!
2. I am also very thankful for Friends that encourage me when things are difficult. Sometimes life issues pull you down and you get in a funk. Then along comes your friends to tell you that they have been praying for you. I love that!
3. I am thankful for water! ???? Yes, I am thankful that water is now available for me to drink at work!! The water here is HORRIBLE!!! I now have some filtered water!!
4. I am thankful for Girl's Night Out tonight with my old coworkers for Sam's new job! It will be good to be with my friends again. I miss you guys!
5. I am thankful today that I am working closer to my LarBear. He was able to come up to my work area today and have lunch with me. He looked so funny with his shipyard "goggles" on!!
I hope all of you have a very thankful Thursday today!!!

New Job

I started my new position last Monday, so I have had a whole week already. It is so very different from what I came from. Will take a bit to adjust. I am excited to learn all the new stuff and I really love the people already. I am already seeing things that I want to get involved in and my boss has already asked me to decorate!! Cool! This is a really good change for me and I am trusting God to give me the wisdom that I need to adjust to all the new tasks.
I am having to wear more practical shoes.....oh my! I have 3 blisters from my high heels. They are just not cutting it going up and down stairs! Hmmm that means more shoe shopping! I have to dress up more. Have only seen a pair of jeans on 2 people all week. I do like that, but jeans sometimes would feel really good. Will have to see how that goes. What is really nice is that they are very laid back about your arrival and departure. I may be able to come in a little early and leave earlier, just enough to beat the main traffic. So far riding the bus in has worked out really well. More on this later....

Camping this weekend

Just couldn't put the trailers away yet. I hate this time of year when it starts to feel like fall and all the camping is over. I love to camp so much. On Friday LarBear said to me that it was date night and that I could do whatever I want. He opened the door and so I jumped at the opportunity. CAMPING! It wasn't really the best weather, but it was so much fun and my brother Glen ended up camping with us. It rained just a bit early Saturday morning, but not too much! Took the Shasta this time.

Puppy update

The puppies are growing like crazy....

They are so cute and funny to watch!

Catching up!

Well, it has been quite a while since I was on my blogger space. There has been so many things going on. We went on vacation to Eastern Washington. It was a beautiful campground. It was Steamboat Rock park. The grounds was very beautiful and lots of deer roaming around. We camped right on the Lake and Larry took his kyak out a few times a day. The weather was perfect. view from our camp

This next shot was taken early in the moring! it was so beautiful. Larry hiked up to the top of this one...
